A drug found in Liam Payne’s system after his tragic death is the same substance that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ staff were allegedly required to keep on hand for the rapper, according to claims in a lawsuit.
The drug, known as pink cocaine, is a mixture of ecstasy, ketamine, caffeine, and a psychedelic called 2-CB or Tusi, which is used to treat sexual dysfunction. It can be taken in pill or powder form.
A lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones in February alleges that Combs’ ex-chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, mandated that “all employees, from the butler to the chef to the housekeepers, walk around” with pink cocaine, along with other substances like cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana gummies, and the date rape drug GHB.
“It was important to defendant Khorram to have Mr. Combs’ drug of choice immediately ready when he asks for it,” Jones claimed in the lawsuit.
Jones also alleged that Khorram distributed the drugs to Combs and his “celebrity guests” on a yacht and at his homes in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami.
The producer, who has sued Combs for sexual assault, further claimed that Combs himself offered him cocaine at one point, but Jones “rejected” the offer. Shortly after that incident, Jones alleged he was sexually assaulted by the cousin of Combs’ then-girlfriend, Yung Miami, in a bathroom.
Jones also accused Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, of transporting pink cocaine for Combs and working as a sex worker for him. The City Girls rapper denied these accusations in April.
Combs, 54, has slammed the lawsuit, calling it “legally meaningless” and filled with “blatant falsehoods.”
In August, he sought to have the lawsuit dismissed. His legal team has not responded to allegations about his drug use, though Combs has agreed to undergo weekly drug testing after being incarcerated while awaiting trial for charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
Liam Payne, for his part, suffered devastating consequences from his own drug use. The 31-year-old former One Direction star fell to his death from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16. His toxicology report revealed the presence of pink cocaine, as well as cocaine, crack, and benzodiazepines, a type of depressant.
Retired NBA star Lamar Odom, a recovering addict, recently spoke to TMZ about how the combination of drugs Payne had taken can cause auditory hallucinations, which may have contributed to his death. “If you’re hearing voices, then it’s hard to escape those voices,” Odom explained. “So God forbid if those voices told him to do something that led to his fate, that would be a real shame.”
Guests at the hotel reported seeing Payne acting erratically in the hours leading up to his death, including smashing a laptop. However, the official cause of his death was determined to be the multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding resulting from his fatal fall.
